Entrust Services supported Icon Tower Infrastructure in securing permission to redevelop the Century Mill site in Bolton, which included relocating a 30m telecommunications mast. The relocation enabled the mill’s demolition, clearing the way for 106 affordable homes as part of a broader regeneration scheme.
Challenge and Solution
Century Mill, surrounded by residential areas, had become derelict and was associated with anti-social behaviour. Entrust Services created photomontages to support the planning application and collaborated with the housing developer’s planning agent, ensuring the project gained approval despite initial recommendations for refusal.
Impact
The development of a new telecom mast not only supports reliable connectivity in the area but also paves the way for much-needed affordable housing, transforming an eyesore into a valuable community asset and enhancing the local landscape.
